Kim Wilde live at Lytham Festival
Kim and her band wowed the 20,000 people at Lytham Green with her set of 10 songs, playing right before the evening’s headliner Lionel Richie. Scarlett was back on top form, with her young daughter Goldie sleeping right through the performance like a princess. The setlist and some photographs from the gig are available on Wilde Life, on this page.
Bearly Disco mix of 'Hey Mister Heartache'
Bearly Disco recently dropped a remix of an original Kim Wilde track: 'Hey Mister Heartache'. The version adds a disco feel to the funky original and uses the original vocals by Kim Wilde for a 2023 update. The curious cover picture was created using AI. Listen to it here.
Cover version of ‘Loved’
Most people tend to go for ‘Kids in America’ or ‘You Came’, which is why it’s a pleasant surprise to hear a cover version of a different Kim Wilde song. ‘Loved’ was covered by Retropop Boy. The song is available in three remix versions as well: a "conventional" extended version and two remixes by Bearly Disco. Listen to it here.
Forthcoming live dates
Now that summer has arrived, it’s time for festival season and Kim will be doing quite a few gigs in July and August: three in the UK, four in Germany and two in Switzerland. To top it all off, she will be headlining Wentworth Festival in Rotherham (UK) on 16 September. Check out kimwilde.com’s Tour Dates page for all the details.
Bonus video: Kids in America live
If you miss out on all those live dates it can be frustrating. Fortunately sometimes there are videos that capture the excitement. Here’s an example, taken during Kim’s recent performance in Vielsalm. It’s the last song of her set: ‘Kids in America’.
